Saturday = Game day
Started the mornin' out strong with a nice Shipley's breakfast with my longest lifetime-friend, Taylor Moffet, who is also a Boomer Sooner (yes, i know...hiss hiss). Then, a few of us went to lunch at the new BBQ place by La Bodega to celebrate Jimbo's birthday! It was pretty empty and then...BOOM!...in walks George Bush Sr. and Barbara! Jimbo was the first brave soul to approach President Bush, introducing himself as Jimbo. President Bush said, "Well, hello Jim!" Then...JIMBO CORRECTED THE PRESIDENT!!! "It's Jimbo, sir!" WHAT!?!? Good thing he was the birthday boy or the Secret Service guys at the next table could've done away with him right then and there! We asked the bartender to take a picture of all of us with them and he didn't do a very good job as you will see... haha! Nonetheless, you can get the jest of it. I'd like to think the glare was the presence of God hovering over the Bush's. LOOK! I'm even touching his shoulder!!!! Here ya go, Ags! And WHOOP for our victory over OU!
We bought them two coke floats as well. We left before the restaurant surprised them with it...but I will always imagine George Bush Sr. and the Silver Fox slurpin' down some floats and talking about the good old days. :-)
